Bamboo Forest Manager - Chapter 370
Pension
Time passed, and it was Monday.
“Oh, here, here!”
In front of the bus stop.
Seo Ye-rin waved her hand and greeted me as I got off work.
Next to her, Yoo Ah-rin and Choi I-seo were also dressed to go out.
“Did that guy really go to work wearing that?”
“Well, it seems like he’s doing fine, so I guess it’s okay.”
He was still wearing the red suit since he came straight from work.
Honestly, at first, I thought it was a bit too flashy, but now it’s somewhat bearable.
Doesn’t it feel like being a villain in a drama?
“Brr, it’s cold.”
I quickly ran over and hugged Yoo Ah-rin, who was at the front, in the chilly weather.
“What the?!”
“It’s too cold. Ah, you’re warm.”
She seemed a bit flustered when I suddenly hugged her, but she didn’t dislike it.
In fact, it felt nice as she slightly leaned into me.
“Ah-rin, did you eat strawberries today? It smells like strawberries.”
“I did have a strawberry smoothie with the kids earlier – Hey! Don’t sniff my head!”
“It smells good. But why would you have a strawberry smoothie in this cold?”
“Because it’s delicious!”
As I hugged her tightly and rubbed my face against the back of her head, the other two were staring at us.
“People are watching.”
“Uji-na! Wouldn’t I be much warmer with my fuller figure? Ah-rin might let the wind through.”
“Hey, let go of me. I’m going to kill that girl!”
I held Yoo Ah-rin tighter to stop her from lunging at Seo Ye-rin.
Seo Ye-rin was hiding behind Choi I-seo, glaring at Yoo Ah-rin.
“Are we taking the bus?”
I asked, ignoring the now familiar bickering.
Choi I-seo responded without paying much attention to the two.
“No, we’re taking a car. I called one in advance.”
“You called a car? Then we should have asked our security team.”
“No, there’s someone coming with us.”
I wondered what she meant, but soon understood.
The sound of a motorcycle engine could be heard from afar.
It was a motorcycle that looked expensive, followed by a sports car.
Both were familiar objects.
The two stopped in front of us.
Senior Joo-hee, who was on the bike, took off her helmet and said,
“One person rides behind me. The rest get in the car.”
It was the same bike that Senior Joo-hee rode at the last reunion and the sports car that Oh Yoon-ji drove.
Of course, Oh Yoon-ji was behind the wheel.
“Are you and Yoon-ji coming too?”
I asked, as I had no idea, and Senior Joo-hee sighed.
“Kang Han-gang still left a good impression on the kids. Most of the third-year students are going, so I decided to go too.”
“Why is Oh Yoon-ji involved?”
The guy waving his hand beyond the window.
“Han-gang asked to bring some first-year students too.”
Surprisingly, Han-gang still has quite an influence in the English department.
Well, considering the past when he tried to ruin me with just a few words, it makes sense.
There were even some female students who seemed to have a soft spot for Han-gang.
“So, who’s going to ride the bike?”
“Me! I want to ride!”
Yoo Ah-rin immediately stepped forward.
I thought she would like that kind of thing, and she quickly put on the helmet.
The remaining people tried to get into Oh Yoon-ji’s car.
“Hey, there’s only the front seat.”
It was the same last time, but there was only one seat. I wondered what to do, and Oh Yoon-ji pointed to the light luggage compartment in the back.
“One person can lie down there.”
“That’s illegal! You crazy girl.”
“It’s not like we’re putting someone in the trunk. Just squeeze in the back and sit.”
I’m the biggest one…
My words didn’t really persuade them, and I ended up lying in the light luggage compartment.
My legs stuck out towards the passenger seat, and Seo Ye-rin and Choi I-seo, who were sitting together, playfully touched them.
“Kim Woo-jin, have you started working out again? You’re solid.”
“Yeah, I’ve started again recently. If I rest a bit, I loosen up quickly—ouch! Don’t pull my hair, Seo Ye-rin!”
“Hehe.”
Why are you suddenly plucking leg hair?
“We’re leaving. Put on your seatbelt.”
“Where’s the seatbelt here?”
“I can’t because of Woojin’s leg.”
“Move your leg to the side.”
Two people couldn’t put on their seatbelts because my leg was in the way.
After barely pushing my leg aside, they both managed to fasten their seatbelts together.
“Ah, my chest is getting crushed!”
“It’s hard to breathe.”
Both of them made struggling noises, but Oh Yoonji elegantly put on her sunglasses and stepped on the accelerator.

We arrived at the pension.
It was bigger than I thought, and it had a pool, so it must have cost quite a bit.
I knew they usually charge more if there are additional people, so was that taken into account?
Anyway, the parking lot was quiet, as if we were the only guests.
However, there were cars parked in the quiet parking lot.
Both of the noticeable cars were ones you don’t see often.
“Huh? What? That’s my car.”
One of them was even my car.
The Porsche I won as a prize at the reunion.
I had lent it to Choi Jina to drive around for a while.
“Is Jina here too?”
I asked Senior Joohee, who had parked her bike, and she nodded.
“We can’t leave her alone.”
That’s true.
You never know what might happen if we leave Choi Jina alone in the dormitory.
‘Then who does the other one belong to?’
It looked much more expensive than the Porsche.
I don’t know much about car types, but I heard that the less people know about a brand, the more expensive it is.
Maybe this is one of those things too?
As we passed the parking lot and headed towards the pension building, there were already quite a few people drinking.
Idiots mingling among them.
Han Kang and Pyo Jin-ho each had a woman with a considerable figure on their arms.
Jung Chan-woo was surrounded by such women, and lastly, Ahn Hyun-ho was caught by his girlfriend, Lee Gyu-ah.
What kind of situation is this?
A scene reminiscent of a debauched feast.
A figure that made the incomprehensible scene understandable caught my eye.
“Bong-geun?”
Bong-geun, sitting at an outdoor table, talking with Choi Jin-ah.
I did call him, and I knew Han Kang had asked him to invite a lot of pretty girls, but…
‘Isn’t this too much?’
I never imagined he would invite this many people.
Even the drinks seemed a bit too much for college students to handle.
It was clear that Bong-geun had prepared them.
“Hey, Kim Bong-geun!”
“It’s Lee Bong-geun. The name is James.”
Leaving the others behind, I ran to him and shouted.
“What is this, Bong-geun? I mean, turning a college students’ drinking party into a night of debauchery at a chaebol’s house, what were you thinking?”
“I mean, it’s a party. I thought this much was expected. Han Kang called and asked for some help.”
I knew they had gotten somewhat close after eating omakase last time, but I didn’t expect them to keep in touch separately.
“He said he wanted to throw a party with a Gatsby vibe. So I prepared accordingly. I didn’t expect it to be held in such a shabby place.”
Bong-geun looked rather aggrieved.
He had prepared according to his standards, only to end up at a pension that looked like a place for a college MT.
“Sigh, who are all these women?”
Each one looked like they could be a model.
Even the diversity of races made it seem like he was playing internationally.
“He asked me to invite a lot of women…”
“He asked?”
“So I called! I mean, can’t we do at least this much for the brothers who are about to go protect the country?”
Look at this b*stard.
“Then are you going to the army?”
“I’m a U.S. citizen, so I don’t go to the army.”
“You son of a b*h?!”
“That’s why I told you to call me James instead of Bong-geun every day!”
Was that how it was connected?
“James is mixed-race from the start.”
Choi Jin-ah adds with a smile.
The atmosphere is a bit different from the Choi Jin-ah I know, my late-night snack mate.
It’s a bit strange that she’s drinking white wine instead of soju.
Anyway.
“So you ordered the girls to cling to the brothers?”
“Ugh.”
Bong-geun’s expression hardened as he got caught. No matter how popular the two are, it doesn’t make sense for them to be hanging out with model-like girls like that.
It must have been Bong-geun who ordered the girls.
Since he’s going to the army tomorrow, he told them not to worry about the aftermath and to make him dream.
Anyway, all rich b*stards think the same.
Anyway.
It’s only 2 o’clock, but the atmosphere is already lively.
Maybe because of the chilly weather, it felt oddly bittersweet to see everyone enjoying themselves.
‘At least they’re not drinking.’
I heard they were restraining themselves since they’re enlisting tomorrow, but they’re not drinking heavily.
“Sigh, where’s our room?”
With that, there won’t be any serious talks of brotherhood among the guys.
I thought I’d just hang out in the room with the kids, so I asked, and Bong-geun handed me a card key from the table.
“They said there were no reservations today, so I just rented the whole place. Go into any room.”
“You really have a lot of money.”
“Is that something the youngest of the Wooju Group should say?”
“Shut up! Go back to your country!”
After letting out a full-blown sigh, I take the kids and head into the largest room.
Before entering, I glance at the guys playing with the girls one last time, and various thoughts cross my mind.
“Ah! It’s warm!”
“Oh, they’ve turned on the heating here.”
“Should we bring a few bottles of alcohol from outside?”
The three of us enter the room.
Oh Yoon-ji and Senior Joo-hee stayed behind to take care of Jin-ah.
From noble mtl dot com
I wonder if Bong-geun, who is meeting them for the first time, will be able to communicate well?
His mindset is a bit strange, so I hope he doesn’t say anything unnecessary.
We sat around with a blanket in the middle. Unlike the noisy outside, the atmosphere here is quite simple and nice.
“Hey, did you see this?”
“What is it? It’s so cute!”
“Let’s raise a puppy like this later!”
Watching the three of them chatting while looking at their phones, I quietly started typing something on my phone.
Seeing the two people who are enlisting tomorrow, I had many thoughts and wanted to organize them.
“What are you doing, Woo-jin?”
Has it been about 30 minutes?
Seo Ye-rin, who was fidgeting, approached me.
I subtly covered my phone and answered.
“Um, writing a bucket list?”
“A bucket list?”
Was she interested?
The other two also turned their attention to me.
This is a bit troublesome.
I was secretly writing it alone because I thought it might make the kids feel lonely.
But now that it’s come to this, there’s no point in saying it’s nothing.
I decided to be honest.
“I’m going to get my draft notice soon too. So, I wrote down some things I want to do before I go.”
“Ah.”
Isn’t that the life of a South Korean man?
My body’s healthy, so I’ve got a duty to serve in the military.
They say the sons of chaebols dodge the draft, but my family’s different.
My little hyung was too overweight to go, but my big hyung served in the Marines.
Anyway.
It meant I wouldn’t be here for a year and a half.
“Going is natural, but having to leave you guys is just too hard.”
I gave a bitter smile and slightly opened my arms, and Seo Yerin rushed into a hug.
The other two also edged closer, standing by my side.
“Is there anything we can help you with?”
I was about to answer Seo Yerin’s question, but closed my mouth again.
“Nah, what I said was just random. I’ll sort things out and if I need help later-“
“Hmm, staying up all night at a PC bang.”
Suddenly.
While we were all tangled up, Yoo Arin, who’d fished my phone out from between the blankets, began reading my list.
“Wait, just a sec!”
“Choi Yiseo and leash play.”
“Die, Kim Woojin.”
“Hey! Don’t read that!”
I desperately lunged for Yoo Arin, but Seo Yerin was one step faster, throwing her arms around me.
“Tormenting Seo Yerin until she begs you to stop.”
“Whoa!”
Shit.
A wave of shame washes over me.
It feels like my private, clumsy journal is being laid bare before everyone.
“Yoo Arin outdoor exposure s*x. You fucker! Why is this all there is!?”
At least there’s some normal stuff further down.
The bike trip we messed up last time, camping, hitting gold rank in games, learning guitar, and so on.
As the list went on, the content got better and the guys were smiling and said it wasn’t too bad.
‘Ah, shit.’
The very first thing I wrote.
Sweat was trickling down my back, afraid it’d be discovered.
Because the moment it was, it’d be ruined.
“Hey, hey guys. Enough already—”
“What… what is this?”
Yoo Arin, eyes wide, gritted her teeth and glared at me, asking,
“Is going to a hotel with four of us on your bucket list?”
“Ahem.”
It’s out anyway.
“To be crass but honest,”
Just face it head-on.
“I want to bang all three of you at once.”
