Bamboo Forest Manager - Chapter 389
The Invited Guest
“Ugh, maybe I should take the day off.”
Early morning.
Lying in bed, Yoo Arin muttered to herself.
Partly because she hadn’t been able to sleep at all, but also because her back and thighs ached, making her tired.
She glanced beside her and saw Kim Woo-jin sleeping, completely naked.
She was giving him a pillow with her arm, and despite the fact that he’d worked out, his arm wasn’t falling asleep like it used to.
‘He’s pretty sturdy.’
After seeing each other naked, kissing and sucking for almost half a day, she realised that Kim Woo-jin was in better shape than she thought.
He was even so energetic that they went at it all day, except for short breaks.
‘Maybe I need to rethink living together.’
If every day was going to be like this if they lived together, it might be a bit much.
It was nice, but the problem was it was *too* nice, and it might get in the way of daily life.
“Taking the day off?”
Lying on the opposite side, Seo Ye-rin blinked at her.
Yoo Arin, remembering the night before, answered politely.
“Yes, Ye-rin unnie.”
“Hmph, guess I’ll rest a bit too. My manager unnie was going crazy about audition prep.”
“Unnie, you rest too.”
“Hehehe, hearing ‘unnie’ isn’t bad, huh?”
Of course, she’s an unnie.
Yoo Arin was being this polite to Seo Yerin for the first time in her life.
But what happened yesterday made even Yoo Arin respect Seo Yerin.
“Seriously, Yerin-ah, I would’ve died without you.”
After eating meat and ramen, Kim Woojin immediately started round two.
Yoo Arin and Choi Yiseo were exhausted after just a few rounds and collapsed, but Kim Woojin’s clutches kept reaching for them both.
And it was Seo Yerin who stopped it.
Yoo Arin, who’d collapsed under the bed, felt a surge of respect and gratitude watching Seo Yerin struggle alone on top of Kim Woojin.
“Is that b*stard a monster? Can he really go all day like that?”
Yoo Arin grumbled, tugging at Kim Woojin’s cheek as he lay sleeping, and Seo Yerin chuckled.
“He’s not usually able to go that long. Woojin’s just really sturdy.”
I’ve said it before, but I think it’s a side effect of eating too many good things when he was a kid.
“But where’s Yiseo?”
Seo Yerin raised her head just a little and looked around.
Choi Yiseo, who’d been struggling the most, was asleep under the covers, under the bed.
“She tapped out the fastest and fell asleep first.”
“She didn’t have anywhere else to sleep so she’s sleeping there? Ugh, she could’ve just gone to another room.”
Choi Yiseo was sound asleep, showing no signs of waking up.
She must’ve been that tired from yesterday.
Especially since she was completely overwhelmed by Kim Woojin’s slightly more aggressive actions.
Well, if you asked who here hadn’t been overwhelmed, I guess there’s no answer.
Choi Yiseo was almost pitiful, whining and saying it was too hard.
“But what time’s checkout? Shouldn’t we start getting up soon?”
“Ugh, this is such a pain. I just wanna keep sleeping.”
Yoo Arin, worn out, yawned and stretched.
She just wanted to sleep more, not even checking her phone.
“We booked it till tomorrow. You can just sleep.”
An answer came to Kim Woo-jin, eyes still closed.
“Woo-jin-ah, you’re awake!”
“What, you rented it until tomorrow?”
“Yeah, I rented it until tomorrow. I thought you guys would be tired, so I called the owner this morning. Luckily, it was free tomorrow too.”
“You’ve got so much money, you do whatever you want!”
“For real. Just now, my feelings for Kim Woo-jin deepened a bit more.”
“Money’s the best, after all.”
Kim Woo-jin smiled contentedly at their responses.
Then, he hugged the two people clinging to his arms tightly and said,
“But… I’m hard because it’s morning.”
“……”
“……”
“You two play rock-paper-scissors. The winner gets to.”
“Yerim-unnie should do it, right?”
“Ah-rin-ah, the world of competition is a cold one.”
The two glared at each other, then played rock-paper-scissors right there.
* * *
“Ugh, shit. I think my back’s broken.”
Yoo Ah-rin, the victor and the loser, came shuffling out of the living room, her hand on her waist.
Due to the intense s*x from the morning, Yoo Ah-rin was having a slightly later breakfast than everyone else.
It was already lunchtime.
The other three were sitting around the table, eating kimchi fried rice.
“It’s so delicious, probably because it’s kimchi fried rice with seafood.”
“How much food did you bring, exactly?”
“If it tastes good, it’s fine, right?”
Kim Woo-jin had brought a slightly excessive amount of food.
Thanks to that, they wouldn’t have to worry about food for the day, without needing to go outside.
As Yoo Ah-rin awkwardly sat down, Kim Woo-jin immediately pulled out a spoon and handed it to her.
Taking the spoon, she smacked him on the back.
*Thwack!*
“Ah! It hurts!”
“You b*stard. Damn, you don’t know restraint.”
“But it felt good, right?”
“Shut up!”
The first to get up was Choi Iseo.
Already partially dressed, Choi Iseo finished brushing her teeth and putting on light makeup, then headed towards the front door.
“I’m leaving. I have to attend the afternoon lecture.”
“What? You’re leaving?”
A surprised Kim Woojin hurriedly followed behind Choi Iseo.
“Arin, let’s play rock-paper-scissors to decide who does the dishes.”
“Can’t you do it? I can barely stand.”
“Fine, I’ll do it.”
The other two didn’t pay much attention and went about their own business.
“Iseo, you should rest today.”
“No, if I keep resting day by day, my grades will suffer.”
“Is it because of the full scholarship? I can pay for it.”
“Sigh, you’re talking nonsense.”
Choi Iseo’s firm resolve not to rely on Kim Woojin’s help.
Even though Kim Woojin knew she would respond this way, he still said it.
“You struggled a lot yesterday. Aren’t you feeling unwell?”
“It’s a bit strange to hear that from the one who made me struggle.”
Choi Iseo glared at him resentfully, then sighed and nestled into Kim Woojin’s arms.
“I learned yesterday what it feels like to be exhausted from pleasure. Even though you’re rough, it made me feel how much you love me.”
“Iseo!”
“Maybe that’s why? I’m not anxious or scared anymore. Because I’m sure… no matter what happens, you’ll stay with me.”
“Of course!”
Kim Woojin kissed Choi Iseo, who had nestled into his arms. He seemed touched that Choi Iseo understood his sincerity.
“Iseo, should I pick you up after the lecture?”
“No. I have something to do today.”
“Then you’ll come back after it’s done, right? Okay?”
“……Yeah.”
“Didn’t that b*tch answer late?”
“Ugh! Who put all these shrimp tails together?!”
Kim Woojin flinched, startled by Yuarin and Seoyerin’s conversation behind him, and looked down at Choi Iseo.
Choi Iseo didn’t say anything, her head turned away, which made him feel a little uneasy.
“Yo, beggar?”
“O-of course.”
Her voice was awkward, laced with a tremble.
As if trying to hide it, Choi Iseo hastily moved away from Kim Woojin and headed outside.
“See you later!”
* * *
“Let’s take a break, you beast.”
After finishing lunch.
Yuarin declared it with her arms crossed.
“We’re not going to school, we’re already resting.”
“You know that’s not what I’m talking about.”
“……”
“You’re going to do it again tonight anyway, right? So let’s take a break until then.”
I glance sideways at Seoyerin sitting next to me. I was hoping she’d take my side, but she’s engrossed in her phone game and doesn’t seem to hear me.
Guess I have no choice.
“Alright. Let’s just rest. Honestly, my dick is throbbing so bad I don’t think I can do it anymore.”
It’s not a joke, it really hurts.
It’s the first time I’ve done it this much in half a day.
“Feels like I got stung by a bee.”
It’s so swollen, it might as well be.
“But you can’t just blame everything on me.”
I wanted to correct them, clearly.
Because they’re talking like it’s all my fault.
“What are you talking about?”
“It’s not like a guy can just get turned on anytime he wants.”
“Isn’t it?”
“Yeah, no. It’s because it’s you guys that I can go this far.”
How could I get excited alone?
“…What are you talking about?”
“Ah! I’m dead.”
Both of them seemed to not understand what I was saying, reacting indifferently.
I decided to use a metaphor to make it easier to understand.
“When I was with Yoonji, I couldn’t go this far.”
“…”
“…”
For a moment, both of their gazes shot at me simultaneously.
“Was that supposed to be a compliment, Woojin?”
“Ugh, gross. Just thinking about having a kid that looks like that makes my head hurt.”
“That’s too much.”
Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to bring up my ex-girlfriend in this situation.
From noble mtl dot com
Feeling embarrassed, I scratched my head, and Seoyerin leaned her head on my shoulder, laughing.
“The comment was trash, but still, it’s nice to hear that I’m better than Yoonji!”
“Compare us to Oh Yoonji one more time, and you’re dead.”
With that, Yoarin slyly sat next to me and linked her arm with mine.
She didn’t like the comparison, but she seemed quite pleased that she was considered better.
“Woojin, should we go to the PC bang?”
“Instead, they said we could rent a console here, right? Let’s just play games here.”
“Games? What games? Let me join.”
Seoyerin, who often watched me and Yoarin play games, didn’t want to be left out and awkwardly joined in.
Not bad.
Until Iseo arrives, let’s just play games here.
Let’s have a lazy day today.
* * *
“So, you’re on your way back home now?”
– The trip is already over. I’m almost there. I can see the front gate.
The exhaust sound coming from Oh Yoon-ji’s phone had the unique feel of a Porsche.
Riding the Porsche that Kim Woo-jin lent her, Choi Jin-ah was now heading down to her parents’ house.
“Are you okay? Did you go with Senior Joo-hee?”
– No, I came alone.
“Are you ready? You’ve been really nervous all this time.”
– Ugh.
Since it wasn’t wrong, Choi Jin-ah hesitated for a moment, but soon she steeled herself and answered.
– I’m okay now. I was getting annoyed by the constant matchmaking calls from unknown numbers, and it felt like I had spent too much time preparing myself.
“Hmm, so you’re not living with Senior Joo-hee anymore?”
– Yeah, I said goodbye to her too. She hugged me, saying she was sorry for everything.
Choi Jin-ah sniffled once, as if her nose was stinging.
It seemed like it was an emotional farewell for her.
Anyway, she could see her again if she wanted to.
“But why all of a sudden?”
Oh Yoon-ji asked as she got out of the car. She brought the phone, connected via Bluetooth, to her ear, and it seemed like Choi Jin-ah had just parked as well.
In the sunset scenery, the sound of the car door opening was heard, followed by Choi Jin-ah’s refreshing laughter.
– Life doesn’t break down as easily as you think.
“Hmm?”
– So I decided to just face it head-on.
“…….”
Feeling a slight chill from Choi Jin-ah’s words, as if she had gained some enlightenment, Oh Yoon-ji asked cautiously.
“Is it because of Woo-jin?”
– ……A little?
A little, my foot.
It seemed like she had been influenced by watching Kim Woo-jin’s reckless lifestyle closely.
“Jin-ah, I know you’re rich too. But get a grip. If you learned something from watching him, you need to question it.”
It was one thing to learn from a bad example, but if she had realized something from Kim Woo-jin’s reckless behavior, it was worth questioning.
– Ahem, where are you? You seem to be outside.
“Look at you changing the subject.”
– I finished talking with my parents and I’m heading to where you are. I don’t think I want to sleep at my parents’ house no matter what.
“I’m…now…”
Oh Yoonji lifts her head slightly.
What’s in front of her is a two-story pool villa.
“I don’t know. What is this place?”
– What are you talking about?
“No, Lee Seo suddenly asked if I could come here just for today, so I came.”
– Lee Seo-ssi?
“She asked me, saying she’s too exhausted. I don’t know what it is, but I came since I also felt bad about something that happened recently.”
Hadn’t she been flirting with Kim Woojin?
Even then, Choi Lee Seo hadn’t gotten mad about her trying to seduce Kim Woojin, but rather had worried about Kim Woojin’s mental state, which still stuck in Oh Yoonji’s memory.
– Ah, my bodyguards are coming. I’ll call you back after this call ends.
“If the call doesn’t come, should I report it?”
– It’s not that bad.
Choi Jina’s voice held a resolution that couldn’t usually be heard and an unsettling edge.
Maybe that’s why Oh Yoonji wasn’t particularly worried and ended the call.
“What is this place.”
Standing in front of the pool villa, she opened the door and stepped inside.
“Excuse me?”
What she heard then was.
“Aahng!”
A suggestive female groan.
