Episode 201 – TOC Tactical Operations Center
The memory of the tangled dream quickly disappeared. I gave Hyein a light kiss on the forehead and headed to the situation room.
It was about an hour before the operation team arrived at San Francisco airport.
On one side of the situation room, a TV was showing CNN news without any sound.
The screen showed hundreds of people indiscriminately attacking people with iron pipes and jungle knives.
“Hey, turn up the TV volume a bit.”
“yes.”
*** CNN NEWSROOM ***
“The whole world is reeling from looting. In the American West and South, armed bandits and looters are turning cities into war zones, while in Europe, organized gangs of robbers are rampant.”
The footage showed dozens of people throwing bricks at stores, tearing down doors and looting indiscriminately.
“Meanwhile, in China, armed mobs with iron pipes, machetes, and kitchen knives are raiding and looting nearby villages. Cities are swarming with bandits, and rural areas are experiencing a breakdown in public order due to village-level looting wars.”
On the screen, a fight was taking place that was reminiscent of an ancient battlefield. On one side of the screen, a bloody sword fight was taking place.
On one hand, people were seen blocking looters with slingshots and stones.
Their fight was more of a primitive war than a fight.
The news was showing us, unfiltered, a world where looting was routine.
“Also, in Africa, tribal militias are rampantly attacking other tribes to pillage them. This can be called a war of pillage that transcends borders. It seems as if the entire African continent is in a civil war.”
The news screen showed a boy soldier in his early teens smiling and firing an AK47 without any mosaic effects.
“In South America, including Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil, the power of existing drug-related gangs has surpassed the government’s security capabilities. Statistics show that gangs control as much as 50% of the territory in some countries.”
The changed screen showed a South American gang tying someone to a chair at an intersection in the middle of town.
And there were so many people gathered around him that it looked like a people’s trial.
The man who appeared to be the leader of the gang shouted something, then put a pistol to the back of the head of the man tied to the chair and pulled the trigger.
It was a gruesome scene, blood and brain fluid splattering onto the road as if the skull had burst and exploded.
“The scene you are watching now is of a resurgent drug cartel in Medellin, Colombia, executing members of another gang that resisted the cartel in an area controlled by the cartel.”

The whole world was regressing in civilization and losing humanity in different ways.
In the middle of it all, there was me, there was us.
I began to think that perhaps the humanity I wanted to preserve was the instinct for inhuman struggle.
In order to preserve human life, it was necessary to use violence against other humans, whether they were predators or non-predators.
I thought that if they carried guns and swords, they were looters and rioters, but if they rode tanks and fighter planes, they were just soldiers.
While I was distracted by the news, a situation report was being sent to the TOC, the situation room inside the ARK ship.
The GGR Operations Team’s transport planes began landing at San Francisco Airport.
– TOC (Tactical Operations Center)
As the Super Galaxy transporter approaches the landing pad.
Through the RTTF camera mounted on the tactical vehicle, the ramp door of the C-5M transport plane was opened and various equipment was taken out, being relayed one after another.
The vehicles and heavy equipment that the transport planes spit out were in a convoy formation with seven military Volvo FMX trucks in the middle and three tactical vehicles in front and behind.
Two trucks in the convoy were carrying forklifts, followed by two cargo cranes. (Cargo cranes: truck-mounted cranes)
And a voice was ringing through the situation room, giving orders through a radio speaker tuned to the operational frequency. It was Director Kim Jun-myeong’s voice.
– Chichijijik.
– IronSentinel, Actual. Golden Gate, Romeo, Operation commences.
(Iron Sentinel, Operations Commander. Golden Gate Romeo (R), Operation Initiate.)
IronSentinel, the call sign of Director Kim Jun-myeong, means ‘iron sentry’. It was a call sign that suited his name, Jun-myeong (峻命), which means ‘strict order’.
The GGR operation team began to move at the order of Director Kim Jun-myeong.
– Crackling.
– Convoy Lead, All Call Sign, Oscar-Mike. Over.
– (Convoy Commander, all units. Move. Above.)
– Chijijik.
– Charlie, Oscar-Mike at convoy lead, Over.
– (Charlie, leading the convoy. Over.)
* Oscar Mike: On the Move. A communication term for On the Move (OM).
– Delta, Oscar Mike, trailing Charlie CET. over.
– (Delta. Following the convoy team. Above)
* CET (Convoy Escort Team): Convoy protection team
– Alpha Team, Oscar-Mike to FOB. over. (Alpha Team moving to FOB. Over.)
– Bravo Team, Oscar-Mike to Muster Point. over.
– (Moving to the Bravo Team operation assembly point. Over.)
* FOB (Forward Operating Base): A point for securing tactical advantage. Or forward base.
* Muster point: A gathering place for a specific operation.
As the convoy exited the airport, two more tactical vehicle convoys were seen on screens passing the convoy.
The large display in the TOC (Operations Center) changed to a TIS tactical information system screen with a map of San Francisco drawn on it.
On the screen, each vehicle and tactical asset transmitted via the TDL tactical data link was displayed on the streets of San Francisco.
* TIS (Tactical Information System): Provides real-time information to commanders to manage battlefield situations.
* TDL (Tactical Data Link) Tactical data link, shares location, communication, and surveillance information between operational assets in real time during operations.
The ARK situation room screen created the illusion of being immersed in a giant RTS (Real-Time Strategy) simulation game.
On one side of the TOC inside the ARK, the RTTF screen showed each tactical team flying a drone.
It was a DJI Matrice 350 RTK drone and a Revolver 860 attack drone armed with 60mm mortar rounds.
Above the heads of the convoy team and two tactical teams, each drone was positioned and was shown on the TIS panel as conducting reconnaissance.
RTTF screens showed footage of downtown San Francisco taken by drone cameras reconnaissance vehicles ahead and on both sides of the moving tactical team.
Alpha Team and Bravo Team split up and split up towards the Golden Gate Bridge and Oakland Bay Bridge, while Convoy Team continued down the road towards the location of the OSL branch office.
Every vehicle in the parade bore the OSS insignia and marks, and every vehicle bore an OSS flag waving.
As the OSS task force moved, they encountered California police officers who were clearing away vehicles and barricades to make way for the OSS column.
OSS’ Alpha Team headed down Highway 101 toward the Golden Gate Bridge, while Bravo Team took Interstate 80 over the Oakland Bay Bridge.
By the time the convoy team reached the building housing the OSL branch office, the OSS tactical team had also arrived at their planned perimeter.
At two bridges leading into San Francisco from the north, police were manning checkpoints and setting up barricades and vehicles.
However, there were no vehicles trying to pass through the checkpoint, and dozens of vehicles were standing in a standoff far away on the other side.
– Chijiji direct.
– Alpha Drone One, Tango in contact with California PD near FOB. Maintain high alert. over.
– (Alpha Drone 1, FOB forward enemy and California police are in a standoff. Prepare for danger. Over.)
The intermittent sound of gunfire indicated that a group of looters, defying public authority, had arrived on the other side of the bridge.
But before the OSS tactical team arrived, a surprising scene was captured on the reconnaissance drone screen.
On the other side of the bridge, looters were confronting police and were rushing over the bridge in large trucks to get through a checkpoint.
San Francisco police returned fire at the large truck, but were unable to stop it.
– Alpha One, Tango with heavy wheels breaching recon line. Alpha, go weapons hot. Out.
– (Alpha One (drone call sign) The enemy is attempting to break through the defense line with a large vehicle. Alpha Team, prepare to engage. Over.)
The looters’ large truck was speeding toward the checkpoint barricade, ignoring the police’s gunfire.
The truck was followed by dozens of vehicles belonging to the looters.
Director Kim Jun-myeong’s voice was heard again over the radio transmission being relayed to the situation room.
– IronSentinel Actual. Alpha One, interdict Tango vehicle’s advance. Alpha Team, provide overwatch to California PD. Out.
– (Iron Sentinel Commander. Alpha Drone 1, stop the enemy vehicle approach. Alpha Team, cover the California Police. End of transmission.)
* Actual: The highest commander in charge of overall command of an operation refers to himself. Used by commanders when conveying locations or decisions.
As the order came down over the radio.
A Revolver 860 attack drone flew over a large truck speeding across the Golden Gate Bridge.
A 60mm mortar shell was dropped in front of the large truck, but it did not seem easy to hit a truck running at full speed with a free-falling mortar shell.
The truck passed over the shells, and the mortar shells fell on the road after the truck passed and exploded.
It seemed too late for the drone to catch up with the truck that was speeding along with its engine on the verge of bursting.
However, the flash and noise of the mortar shell exploding on the bridge was enough to slow down the looting vehicles following the large truck.
