I Can’t Run Away From the Girl Who Saved Me - Chapter 216
216 – Afterword
*Review*
This work has ended somehow.
In fact, when my previous work, commonly known as ‘Undead Revenge’, had just ended, I wondered if I would ever be able to write a new work again.
Because it was my first work, I struggled a lot and made a lot of mistakes.
As a result, I realized deep in my heart that my work had caused discomfort in many ways as I listened to each and every stinging criticism.
Even these days, if you look for it occasionally, you can find angry reactions from people who believe and reject my novels.
Since my previous work received a lot of negative reviews, I tried to write this work more carefully, using the failure of my previous work as a mirror.
I tried to write the story in a way that did not go against the genre’s characteristics as much as possible.
As a result, I think I wrote it without wavering from the two central themes of ‘yandere’ and ‘pure love’ until the end.
Unfortunately, my writing skills are lacking, so the number of views is lower than that of my previous work, but I personally cautiously think that it is a more complete work.
The idea for this work, like the previous one, came from my personal suffering.
The pain was that because my interpersonal relationships were so narrow, I had become worn out from going through various incidents and had no one I could really lean on.
Maybe having a drink with a friend would make things better,
It seems like it would be wrong for someone who is already having a hard time to make new friends with the intention of comforting them.
Also, these days are difficult times for everyone in the world.
So the idea I came up with was a story about ‘a relationship that can never leave your side’.
This naturally created the yandere genre and the special circumstances of this work.
I think that the fact that Ash goes through so much hardship in the story might be the price he pays for his unbreakable bond with Sylvia.
I felt that if I wrote about gaining such a chance without any reward, my own lowly desires would be revealed in a shameful way.
The ending is so provocative that I’m confused as to whether I should consider it a happy ending.
Personally, I think it’s a happy ending.
My side that will not change even if the whole world turns against me.
Is that common in today’s world?
We live in a world where the divorce rate is high.
This work, [I Can’t Escape from the Girl Who Saved Me], is a work that has personally brought me a lot.
While writing this piece, I received a call from the person in charge of Nobelpia for the first time, and I also purchased an air conditioner.
It has also gradually become a work that lets my friends around me know that I make a living by writing web novels.
It was also a work that properly showed that writing is not only fun, but also difficult.
I hope that I will not forget the lessons I learned from writing this work and that I will come back with an even better work in the future.
*Side story or epilogue*
I have an idea.
First of all, I think we should have a ‘wedding’ like Ash said when he tried to seduce Sylvia, who was showing a lukewarm attitude towards subduing the Demon King.
Of course, at the end, Sylvia will have taken care of all the relationships, so there won’t be any real guests, but there will still be Pia to act as the wedding center.
If there is a side story, there is no material in mind.
There was a comment saying that they wanted to see a party of warriors from a world where the saint was alive and well, but I don’t really know what kind of person the saint was, so I don’t have a specific idea…
If I come up with any good ideas, I might write them down someday, but nothing has come to mind yet.
*Next work*
I plan to present the next work as soon as preparations are complete (probably within June).
In fact, I was in a situation where I needed a lot of money for various reasons, so I couldn’t rest comfortably.
First of all, my 9-year-old computer died. Because of that, the final serialization cycle became very unstable.
Even a 5 year old cell phone is acting up.
My 30-year-old body still creaks here and there.
So, it seems like he will come out with a next work quickly.
However, it is unfortunate that, despite having already completed two works, the author has not yet developed the ability to grasp webtoon trends or popular topics these days.
There is a story that I am already thinking about, but I am a little worried because it is about an unknown subject called Apocalypse Academy.
Actually, I want to try writing a cheerful piece now, but I can’t really think of one because I’m not a cheerful person.
If you have any recommendations for genres, stories you’d like to see, or interesting material, please leave a comment.
*In conclusion*
This novel, which started off with a jolt like the carriage that started it all, fortunately ended without capsizing like the carriage.
I never forget that it was thanks to the readers that my work and I were able to stand upright despite countless setbacks.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude and apologies to everyone who came along to the end despite the uncomfortable ride, and to those who were unable to overcome the miserable ride and had to get off.
I will do my best to make my next work a stable and enjoyable piece that will give you a feeling of travel.
Thank you so much for everything.
