“Baekhak Bookstore refused to publish it?!”
Baek Seol was astonished.
My mouth dropped open as if I had never expected it.
“I’m going to put a fly in my mouth.”
Baek Seol closed his mouth.
Instead of listening to Lim Yang-wook’s advice and blocking the entrance for flies, he was angry at the team leader who was telling dull jokes in the meantime.
“So where on earth do we publish? What about marketing and distribution? And the cover design and printing…”
Baek Seol trembled and asked what to do now.
For Lim Yang-wook to hear, it was a worry that was almost laughable.
Why aren’t new employees treated like human beings? That’s because it cannot provide one person’s worth of labor. That was Baek Seol’s current state. It’s at the level of a chick.
Well, it took even Lim Yang-wook, an ambitious 26-year-old new employee, a long time to realize that Ji was an asshole. As a senior in life, we should embrace him with a broad heart, so what can we do?
“Ugh…”
We did not even bother to mention that if it had been published through Baekhak Bookstore, the success would have been in the hands of Director Yang Seong-jun of the Publication Planning Department, and the failure would have been in our hands.
In order to prevent that from happening, Lim Yang-wook risked humiliation and visited the publication planning department in advance, without even explaining how this would be used in the future.
Explaining office politics to a chick who doesn’t even know how to publish a book? It is a feeling that has never been born again.
So Lim Yang-wook said this.
“You ignorant thing.”
“…!!!”
Baek Seol was proud that she lived with a fairly open mind for the eldest daughter of the second son of the younger brother of the chairman of a conglomerate.
However, as a graduate of Oxford Lincoln College’s Department of English Language and Literature, I felt a bit complicated when I heard that Lim Yang-wook, who graduated from a local university with a confusing name, was ‘ignorant’.
Lim Yang-wook said with an expression of liberation.
