The Strongest in the World Doesn’t Want To Do Anything - Chapter 59
59 – The Strongest in the World Doesn’t Want to Do Anything
“Wow! Seriously! It’s Wolfgang!”
“Indeed… it’s Lord Wolfgang.”
Wolfgang had a lot of thoughts as he watched this pair of cockroaches who had come uninvited and were casually confirming his identity.
There was no sign of confusion, and they even passed through the third defense line without a scratch.
Moreover, meeting someone who recognized him and was so delighted to see him was the first time since his activities with the secret society ten years ago.
Thinking that they might be people he had connections with in the past, he stared at their faces, but they were unfamiliar.
“Oh, sorry. We mistook you for someone else. We happened to discover this fertile land filled with nutrients and quietly farmed it with a local farmer.”
“What kind of farmer hides his land like this?”
“He invested some money.”
“What farmer uses such enchantment?”
“That was a gift from the known enchantress, Hamdy. If you’re going to farm, you need the strength of livestock, you know.”
“What dialect is that? Not from the north or the south, it’s a mix of everything… terrible.”
“He’s been wandering around here and there, that’s why!”
Clearly, Wolfgang was making up excuses. Even he didn’t know what he was saying. He was just blabbering to buy time for himself.
“Master! Another group of intruders…”
“What kind of farmer hires a blonde and well-built maid like her?”
Raeli appeared in a strange posture, as if she couldn’t be sure where she had seen them before.
Wolfgang sighed, looking at the pitiful Raeli. “…What’s with that posture?”
“First-degree posture of pneumatic arts?”
“There’s nothing like that.”
Wolfgang raised his head and began gathering energy in his right hand. Before long, a blue aura surrounded his fist.
Wolfgang raised his fist towards the intruders.
“Hmph. Fine. I don’t know how you found your way here, but I don’t want to get involved with anything. So, either disappear on your own, or choose to die in my hands.”
As Wolfgang finished speaking, the man swiftly stood in front of the woman and assumed a defensive stance. It was a movement that seemed instinctual, rather than deliberate.
“What kind of stance is that?”
From the familiar defensive stance, Wolfgang deduced that the man was a knight from the Rome Kingdom. If that was the case, then the woman, who was being protected by the knight, was likely a high-ranking figure such as a priestess of the sect.
“Sent by the sect?”
“Ah!”
Upon hearing the word “sect,” Larely felt a sense of terror and quickly hid behind Wolfgang. Even though ten years had passed since she had escaped from Rome, Larely still got anxious at the mention of the “sect.”
“Allen… it’s okay.”
“…I don’t know why, but my body just reacted on its own.”
As the woman spoke calmly, the man slowly released his defensive stance.
“I got too excited because I’ve been wanting to meet you. I apologize for acting out of line.”
The woman walked forward slowly and removed her hood. The pitch-black hair, resembling the color of darkness, shimmered and cascaded down her shoulders. Her black eyes, sharp nose, and mature aura revealed her unique charm, which had been concealed within the reversed hood.
From her appearance, Wolfgang felt a sense of familiarity. He couldn’t exactly explain it, but it was a strangely familiar impression.
“Wolfgang, do you remember Priest Garnicht whom you met in Rome?”
Upon hearing the unexpected name from the intruder’s mouth, Wolfgang was slightly taken aback.
“How do you know him?”
“I apologize for the late introduction. I am Garnicht’s daughter, Julia. And this is Allen, the knight who serves as Garnicht’s guardian.”

“A pleasure to meet you for the first time, Wolfgang. I am Allen.”
Julia and Allen bowed their heads and greeted Wolfgang.
“Garnicht’s daughter? How did a priest of the sect…”
Ah.
Wolfgang recalled Garnicht’s figure. On the day Rome was under direct attack by demons, he vividly remembered seeing Garnicht personally rescuing people by leaping around, unlike the other priests.
On the day when he decided to join Hagnes and Terosa and leave Rome, Garnicht had also followed him.
It was not surprising for him, who traveled the world and carried out missionary work, to have adopted one or two children.
“So, she’s my younger sister.”
“Yes, that’s correct.”
“When I visited Rome ten years ago, I didn’t have the chance to meet her.”
Wolfgang had heard directly from his own mouth that Hagnes had massacred the corrupt clergy of the sect during his last visit to Rome. He had a foreboding feeling that Garnicht was among them.
“Perhaps, among the priests slaughtered by Haganess…”
In response to Wolfgang’s question, Allen opened his mouth with a painful expression.
“I couldn’t protect them. Priest Genickt sacrificed his life trying to stop the Bloody Saint until the end, but he eventually lost his life at the hands of that devilish woman.”
“Seems like the last time he went to Rom was an unavoidable situation where we wouldn’t meet anyway. May he rest in peace. He was a very good person.”
Wolfgang relaxed his guard, alternating his gaze between the two before exhaling deeply.
“Come with me for now. Let’s talk inside.”
Wolfgang, standing behind them, flicked his finger in front of Raelle, who stood blankly.
“Guests have arrived. Prepare some refreshments.”
“…Ah, yes!”
Yullia and Allen moved inside Wolfgang’s house and took their seats at the table.
“Yullia, Allen. Is that correct?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“Yeah.”
“It seems both of you were taken in by Priest Genickt, losing family in the war, right?”
“Indeed, that’s true for me. However, our young lady doesn’t remember anything from that time. She only has memories from the day she and Priest Genickt first met.”
Yullia nodded silently in response to Allen’s words, and Wolfgang also nodded along.
“Okay, putting aside the backstory, let’s get straight to the point. What exactly is the reason you sought me out?”
Wolfgang took a sip of the tea offered by Raelle, trying to understand their purpose.
“We would like to request revenge for our father.”
Yullia spoke with a serious expression, holding a warm cup of tea in both hands.
“Please kill the Bloody Saint.”
The reason Wolfgang began a reclusive life was to escape the tiresome world completely and spend the remaining years quietly in peace. Somehow, over the past ten years, things had been calm. However, this day had come.
“We can’t offer anything right away, but if you help us…”
“I can’t do anything for you, no matter what you bring. Go back.”
“But…”
“I have no interest. Why do you think I’m hiding here, living without anyone knowing? I really don’t want to get involved in any trivial matters. So, go back.”
Wolfgang’s firm rejection left Yullia and Allen visibly bewildered.
At least, they expected him to ask why or inquire about the reasons behind his refusal.
“No, still, we would appreciate it if you could hear us out.”
“I can let you in. But that’s it.”
Alan, who witnessed Yulia’s sullen expression due to Wolfgang repeatedly hitting the wall, slammed the table and said, “No! Are you going to ignore the current situation even though you have that much power? Are you going to let the Saint of Blood swallow everything? People are being slaughtered outside right now, claiming to act on behalf of the Order!”
“So what? I don’t know, and I don’t care.”
“If it continues like this, the Order will completely conquer Terosa. Everyone will live under Haganess! You know very well what will happen to the world if that happens.”
Wolfgang vaguely realized from their conversation that a war was happening between the Order and Terosa. However, he still couldn’t find a reason for him to intervene. It really had nothing to do with him. Betrayers were killing each other; who and for whom to fight was meaningless.
“Fine. I don’t know how you found me, but don’t come looking for me again. Rest here for a while and leave on your own.”
With a colder attitude, Wolfgang clearly stated his position to Yulia and Alan.
As he got up to leave and return to his room, Yulia quickly grabbed Wolfgang’s wrist.
“Lord Wolfgang! Please… gasp!”
“!!!”
It was a sudden turn of events.
