The Villainous Young Master’s Life in Another World - Chapter 34

The scene shifted again, this time to the Cretan territory. In the scene, Mia and Gu Ming were holding hands with smiles on their faces, looking extremely happy.
Mia held Gu Ming’s hand as they entered a church. Inside, Mia and the phantom Gu Ming changed into wedding attire, proceeding with the ceremony.
The minister recited the wedding vows.
“Groom, do you vow to honor your marriage oath whether in poverty or wealth, sickness or health, beauty or decay, success or failure? Will you love her, comfort her, respect her and protect her? And will you remain faithful to her for all your life?”
Phantom Gu Ming replied “I do.”
“Bride,” continued the minister. “Do you agree to marry this man as your husband and live with him under this sacred marital bond? Whether in sickness or health, poverty or wealth, beauty or decay, success or failure – will you love him comfort him respect him protect him? And will you remain faithful to him for all your life?”
Mia answered “I do.”
“Finally,” said the minister. “Let us once again express our highest respects to this couple. In these sacred wedding vows we feel the power and beauty of love. Let us bless them together; may their love never fade and happiness always accompany them!”
The scene played out from there – from their marriage to having children until they grew old together living out their remaining years – then it began looping again.
Starting from their wedding day it kept replaying over and over.
Seeing how much importance Mia placed on marrying herself and having children left Gu Ming feeling both happy yet distressed.
What was distressing was that he felt like he had been duped by himself.
Although it was just an illusionary world but seeing his own phantom doing things on his behalf felt quite awkward.

But none of that mattered now; what truly mattered was how he could wake Mia up so Gu Ming called out repeatedly towards Mia who kept repeating herself,
“Mia! Wake up!”
Damn! Now Gu Ming understood how these dreamscapes worked: first giving you a nightmare-like memory, then showing you the future you long for. In the end, you wouldn’t want to return to reality from within the dream. It was truly cruel – like a stick and jujube strategy: torturing you endlessly before letting you sink into it forever. This method was really ruthless but it indeed worked very well.
Gu Ming reached out to touch her and strangely this time he could feel her warmth so without wasting any more time he grabbed her arm trying to wake her up.
“I’ve got you now, Mia! Wake up!”
Seeing that even though she was held in his arms she still kept looking at
In the realm of dreams, where ordinary spells are powerless except for the dreamer themselves, Gu Ming could only watch to see if his summoned beast’s attack would suffice.
Fortunately, Gaia’s Annihilation Zero Ring proved effective, and the phantom of Gu Ming vanished in an instant.
Watching the phantom Gu Ming dissipate, Mia in Gu Ming’s arms had reddened eyes. Gu Ming momentarily failed to hold her, and she broke free, rushing towards where the phantom had disappeared.
“Don’t, don’t, why, why?”
Gu Ming looked at Mia with tears in her eyes, feeling a pang of heartache.
“Mia, I know you’re in pain, but it’s time to wake up. This is just a dream, not reality. We need to leave.”
Mia, agitated and still somewhat confused, protested.
“Don’t, I don’t want to leave this place. Oh, that’s right, brother, stay with me, stay here! That way, we can have a happy future, never to be apart, free from pain.”
Her frenzy and anticipation slowly morphed into another phantom of Gu Ming.
Gu Ming simply watched her, not finding her madness ugly, quietly observing as she vented her emotions.
“Brother, do you know? It was only after meeting you that I understood what true love is. It’s fate, fate led me to you. We’re meant to be. Let’s live here together. Here, we’ll be happy, without worries.”
Gu Ming, seeing Mia’s current state, knew sweet words were futile. He steeled his emotions, grasped her shoulders, and rebuked her.
“Crité Mia, wake up! Such false promises are not our future. You told me yourself, we’re unique. Even a wounded heart can be saved by one that truly understands. I’m praying with all my heart to save the one I truly love, you. If this is a sin, then I too should be condemned. If I could perish with you, I’d have no regrets, but…”
Gu Ming removed the moonstone from his neck and placed it gently around hers, speaking softly.
“I want to tell you, you’re not alone anymore. There are many who worry about you outside. Tina, Grandpa Charlie, my father Simon. Our new future is just beginning. So, Mia, it’s really time for you to wake up. When we return, let’s find a time to have a real wedding, shall we?”
Mia, looking at the moonstone around her neck, asked with a trembling voice.
“Do you still remember it?”
Gu Ming nodded.
“I’ve always remembered, never forgotten. Let’s go, to where we belong.”
Mia nodded dumbly in response,
“Um, brother.”
Gently, Gu Ming stroked her head, then slowly approached the phantom behind her,
“Now let me, your brother, eradicate this obstacle to our future happiness. Shatter, illusion!”
Gaia’s Ring of Zero emerged once again, ultimately obliterating the still-damaged illusion.
…
Mia returned to reality before Gu Ming, and upon opening her eyes, she witnessed the scene and shouted loudly.
“You, Tina! Always acting so proper, I never expected you to be this kind of person, sneaking a bite while brother is asleep. I’ve finally caught you red-handed today!”
Tina’s lips parted, turning her head to look at Mia’s sly, fox-like eyes, her heart fluttering with panic, but she quickly regained her composure,
“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about, I was just helping master brother…”
“Helping with what?”
“Helping…”
Mia pouted, questioning with disbelief,
“Helping with what, helping brother have monkeys, really?”
Tina blushed, and at that moment, Gu Ming’s soul also returned to his body. Looking at the two in front of him, one pouting, the other blushing, he was somewhat puzzled. After all, shouldn’t the sisters be comforting and caring for each other after the danger had passed? What on earth was happening?
“Brother, you’re awake.”
