The Villainous Young Master’s Life in Another World - Chapter 37
37
Inside the royal palace at the heart of the Demon Realm, a man clad in a black robe suddenly opened his eyes.
Looking at the red energy in his hands, his face was grim, his tone tinged with anger as he commanded the demons around him loudly.
“Spread my decree, from this day forth, put all efforts into finding the three sins of lust, pride, and greed scattered in the human realm.”
“We obey the will of the king,”
“We obey the will of the king,”
“……”
After the man finished speaking, he closed his eyes again, his face revealing no hint of joy, anger, sorrow or pleasure.
…
The next day, Gu Ming was called into the principal’s office early in the morning to discuss yesterday’s events.
“Come in, please sit down.”
Gu Ming politely pulled out a chair and sat across from the old man.
Principal Dan threw back his cloak that was hanging behind him,
“Allow me to introduce myself. I am Hermes Dan, a guide from the abyss. I aspire to become a great sage and am currently striving towards this goal. At present, I hold the position of principal at Royal Academy.”
Gu Ming looked at him with surprise. The overly dramatic self-introduction made Gu Ming’s mouth twitch involuntarily as he thought to himself: This is truly an elder – although aged physically but youthful at heart…
“Hello there. My name is Cretus Gu Ming and I aspire to become king of my own harem one day. Currently on my journey towards achieving this goal while serving as a student at Royal Academy.”
Remembering his own past experiences with such dramatic declarations inspired by anime culture (commonly referred as “Chuunibyou”), Gu Ming decided it was best just to play along.
“Oh! What a pleasant surprise! We are indeed kindred spirits! You have potential young man; I see great things in your future,” Principal Dan stroked his white beard cheerfully.
“Elders will always be elders; there is much that you can teach me,” said Gu Ming humbly.
Upon hearing these words, Principal Dan couldn’t help but stand up and applaud,
“Well said!”
This sudden reaction startled Gu Ming who cautiously asked,
“So… why did you want to see me today?”
Only then did Principal Dan remember why he had called for him,
“Oh yes… Why did I call for you again?”
The corner of Gu Ming’s mouth twitched involuntarily. “You asked me to come, and now you’re asking me why I’m here?”
“The principal was asking why I came out so late last night.”
Only after being reminded did Principal Dan remember, nodding his head. “Right, right, that’s it. Why did you come out so late?”
Gu Ming had already prepared an excuse and began to explain: “Principal, as a student…”
Before he could finish his sentence, the principal interrupted him: “Hey, Dark Terminator! What do you think about my future appearances in this pose? Should my hat be lower? Ah… Do you think I should wear a black cloak or a white one? Hey! I’m talking to you! Why are you daydreaming?”
Gu Ming was dumbfounded; he had already prepared his excuses but instead got this nonsense. It made him feel stupid. What kind of person is this?
But on the surface he responded cheerfully: “Senior looks good in anything. However if you insist on having me choose for you, students usually prefer lighter colors since black often represents those from the Black Magic Guild.”
Principal Dan nodded approvingly and gave him a thumbs up.
“Well said! As expected from the Dark Terminator; only you understand me.”
Gu Ming continued modestly: “Thank you for your praise senior. We hit it off right away; let me help see if there’s anything else that needs improvement.”
Dan looked puzzled but nodded anyway.
“Alright then; what do suggest?”
“Please stand over here senior,”
Seeing that he actually followed his instructions made Gu Ming smile slightly.
“Now please make a motion as if throwing your cloak back and listen to my instructions.”
Dan made an OK gesture to show he understood. With a flick of his cloak and wand in hand, he strode forward. His demeanor was carefree and unrestrained, with a hint of casual nonchalance.
“I am…”
Seeing how quickly Dan got into character, Gu Ming couldn’t help but feel a touch of admiration.
A true acting master indeed. The old ginger is still the spiciest; no wonder he’s such an advanced case. He gets into character so quickly; his face is thicker than city walls and iron rods combined. Even bullets probably couldn’t penetrate if you added bricks to it. Is this the highest realm where as long as I’m not embarrassed, others will be? I’ve learned something new today.
Gu Ming didn’t forget his own mission either.
“Yes yes, just like that! Lower your hat a bit more… Wow, you look so cool!”
Flattered by the compliment, Dan gave Gu Ming a slight smile and continued striding forward.
“Wow! So cool! The lower it goes the cooler you look… Wow!”
With that said, Dan pulled his hat down to its lowest point and walked straight into a bookshelf without seeing it coming – ending up flat on his back with all four limbs in the air.
After completing his revenge plot successfully, Gu Ming tried hard not to burst out laughing from behind – professional training ensured he wouldn’t laugh out loud at such moments.
Feeling rather embarrassed for himself – after all who would expect an eighth level wizard like him to walk into walls – Dan coughed awkwardly before speaking again,
“Ahem… Gu Ming… You can leave first today… I’m feeling slightly unwell.”
Gu Ming respectfully cupped one hand in another before bowing slightly,
“As you wish Headmaster.”
“Hold on.”
As soon as Gu stopped moving and turned around respectfully asking,
“Do you need anything else Headmaster?”
Dan, with a slightly embarrassed expression on his face, replied,
“About what just happened… You know…”
Dan gave him a knowing smile, and Gu Ming responded solemnly,
“Yes, I understand.”
Once outside, Gu Ming could no longer hold back his laughter.
…
Upon leaving the school, Gu Ming didn’t choose to go straight home. Instead, he went to help his business partner Sass with some drawings.
A few minutes later, Gu Ming arrived at his small shop which was actually not that small.
Seeing him arrive, Sass immediately stood up to greet him.
“Sir, please come in. The pen and ink are all prepared for you.”
As a man of his word, Gu Ming hadn’t forgotten this man who was so eager to revive the culture of learning materials.
Gu Ming picked up the brush and started drawing on the white paper. To make it look more realistic he even colored some of them at the end.
Sass looked at the documents in front of him with awe and admiration. He was so impressed that he wanted to kneel down before Gu Ming.
“Sir,” Sass said gratefully “I have no regrets meeting you in my life. Here is your share from what we sold these past few days.”
When Gu Ming opened the money bag and saw it full of gold coins he was stunned,
“Holy crap! Is selling these things really this profitable? Maybe I should…”
Gu Ming shook off some unrealistic fantasies from his mind
From noble mtl dot com
“Darn it! Have I fallen so low? How can I lose sight for just a bit of silver? Shame on me!”
But that doesn’t mean I can’t take this as a side job right? It’s quite reasonable; maintaining both main job and side job without compromising either…I’m such a genius!
“Well done Sass,” said Gu ming “I see potential in you.”
Sass clenched his right fist saying,
“With your guidance sir there’s nothing we can’t achieve. I won’t let you down; we will grow bigger and stronger, and make your name known for generations.”
Regarding this, Gu Ming only wanted to say that it was completely unnecessary. This wasn’t leaving a good reputation, but rather a bad smell.
“Little Sa…”
“Sir, what are your orders?”
“Little Sa…”
“What is it, sir?”
“If you dare to reveal my real name, I will castrate you.”
Sa’s crotch felt cold and he said seriously,
“Rest assured sir, I am not the kind of person who forgets favors and betrays.”
After leaving the picture behind, Gu Ming prepared to leave.
“Take care sir.”
After seeing Gu Ming leave, Sa wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and muttered to himself,
“I only told a few people. They probably… they won’t spread it around… right?”
